In today's global economy, corporate social responsibility has become one of the top priorities for trade. Decreasing tolerance of poor working conditions represents a huge challenge for manufacturers, retailers, and suppliers - who must balance these ethical concerns with the need to produce high-quality products at low prices. Intertek’s global reach is our major strength, linking suppliers in one part of the world with buyers in another. We independently inspect factories and goods in the countries of origin across the whole supply chain, on behalf of clients and consumers located in the products' final market. In fact, Intertek auditors are currently monitoring thousands of factories per year, in more than 90 countries worldwide, for most major retail and brand companies. Regardless of your, or your customer's, location in the world, Intertek is ready to verify your compliance to quality, safety, and ethical standards such as: SA8000 Based on internationally-recognized human rights principles, SA8000 provides transparent, measurable, verifiable requirements for certifying performance in nine essential areas: child labor, forced labor, health and safety, freedom of association, discrimination, disciplinary practices, working hours, remuneration, and management systems. BSCI The BSCI monitoring system offers a common CSR approach for European retailers, importers, and manufacturers. The initiative's goal is to continuously improve the social performance of suppliers, leading to best practices (such as SA8000 certification or equivalent) and sustainably enhancing working conditions in factories worldwide. ICTI ICTI, the International Council of Toys Industry, developed a single, efficient, and coherent ethical standard, including the Code of Business Practices and auditing protocol to be adopted by factories. Upon successful completion of an ICTI certification audit, your factory will be awarded with an ICTI certificate as proof of compliance with the Code's provisions. WRAP The WRAP certification program provides guidelines for workplace conditions at sewn product manufacturing facilities. The program's objective is to independently monitor and certify compliance with socially responsible global standards for manufacturing, and ensure that the manufactured products are produced under lawful, humane and ethical conditions. |
