30 April 2009 – Kolkata, India – Intertek (ITRK.L), a leading global provider of quality and safety solutions, organized a five-day, IRCA-registered ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor Training programme in Kolkata from April 27 to May 1.

The training, designed for both auditors and management representatives, helped the participants understand the revised ISO 9001 standard, stakeholder requirements, and statutory requirements. Participants gained valuable auditing skills and the knowledge of how to apply the standards in even the most complex of situations.

Growing scrutiny toward industry's quality management has made conformance with ISO 9001:2008 - a voluntary, internationally-recognized quality management systems (QMS) standard - more important than ever. Intertek’s QMS Lead Auditor Training provides the knowledge necessary to master all of the quality management skills needed by an auditor as per ISO 19011 guidelines. The training course was designed by international specialists in the field of QMS auditing, involving the most modern accelerated learning techniques existing in the field of training. After successful completion of this course, the delegates are deemed competent to plan, conduct, and report a QMS audit.

Intertek has partnered with Training Solution International (TSi), U.K. to conduct Lead Auditor Training courses for the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 22000 standards.  TSi training courses are certified by the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) as meeting internationally-established guidelines and objectives.
