This webinar, presented by Intertek lead auditor Ray Ness, leads participants on a section-by-section overview of the 4th edition of the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). The purpose of PPAP is to document that all design record and specification requirements are understood by the organization, and that the manufacturing process has the potential to produce consistently at the quoted rate. The 4th edition contains changes to more closely align PPAP with ISO/TS 16949:2002 and its process approach. Mr. Ness’s presentation also includes an overview of customer-specific requirements for General Motors (GM), Ford, and DaimlerChrysler.
