Health Canada and the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) of Australia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the reciprocal recognition of QMS certificates for medical device manufacturers. Under this MOU, the TGA will recognize ISO 13485 certificates issued by Health Canada recognized (CMDCAS) registrars, such as Intertek, to eligible Canadian medical device manufacturers exporting to Australia.
